Windows are a vital element in creating highly liveable residential spaces. Whatever the housing type, windows set the feel of a room in terms of natural light level and how much external noise pollution is mitigated. Window design and materials are also important for providing a sense of quality for any housing development, regardless of whether it is for private or social housing. For Hardwick Homes, opting for premium REHAU polymer frames as an aluminium alternative, helped provide a unique site for a social housing provider based in the North East.
Hardwick Homes is a residential property developer based in Manchester, working predominantly in the North West and North East of England. All windows in its properties are designed and fabricated to the same high standards. For Hardwick Homes’ new Salters Lane development, that meant ensuring the windows were large, acoustically attenuated and used high quality polymer frames that offered an impressive alternative to powder coated aluminium.
The Salters Lane residential property development is located in Sedgefield, County Durham. Throughout the project, Hardwick Homes partnered with various experts in the process supply chain including architectural practice P+H; window fabricator, Prima Windows; and polymer window systems company, REHAU. The project was completed in association with the local social housing provider.
